The Beach

Naked feet
sand through toes
sinking
joyful sensations
sun-kissed bodies
warmth
the beach.
The water
inviting
immense
only room for enjoyment
no thoughts
tranquil
no cares
happiness.
The beach
social hangout
playing in the sand
building sandcastles
buried in the sand
walking, playing
beach volleyball
flying kites
Frisbees.
Quiet and reflective
sunbathing
relaxing
people gazing
watching the sunrise and sunset
walking the dog
thinking of taking a swim.
